The subject that evening was Edward Emmett Dougherty - Atlanta's Beaux-Arts Architect That Got Away. Dougherty, born in Atlanta, was a graduate of the University of Georgia, Cornell University, and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, which at that time was the leading architecture school in the world.

Recently, we started massive residential home automation and product installation in a downtown Atlanta condo. This is such an amazing installation for us and we really pulled out all the stops when it came to A/V installation and custom home integration with automation. It's truly a jaw-dropping transformation! In the client's media room, we built a custom opening and frame to house the 485 lb Panasonic 103? plasma HDTV. Apparently, the screen is so large that you can fit 247 remote controls inside. It took very careful planning and design to successfully install this massive screen, without a hitch. A custom leather border is being built around the screen after installation. In the master bathroom, we installed Seura 19" Mirror TV which works as both a functioning mirror and television, when desired. When the TV is not in use, it magically vanishes into a mirror leaving no trace of a television screen. Truly a luxurious bathroom experience! In the master bedroom, we mounted a Samsung 65" LED HDTV. With extra sharp picture quality and a clear motion rate of 240, gives you something to smile at every morning when you wake up. With a clear view of the Atlanta city skyline, the outdoor patio is something to truly marvel at. We mounted an outdoor Sunbright 46" TV above the fireplace and in-ceiling speakers to withstand Mother Nature and deliver a superb audio/visual experience. In addition to the A/V, we installed and integrated one-touch lighting, Lutron Sivoia QS shades, wall mounted iPad docking stations, and Crestron touch screens. We had so much fun with this project.
