Hiding your TV in Plain Sight…for Free?

Hiding your TV in Plain Sight…for Free?

More than 50 years ago, TVs served as furniture. They were large cabinets with intricate woodwork, and homeowners were proud to show them off. Now TVs tend to be on the wall, and our clients don’t really want to see them. Luckily, we have dozens of ways to hide TVs, including automated lifts, motorized artwork, and even one-of-a-kind NFT artwork! But what if you want to minimize the appearance of your wall-mounted TV on a budget? Read below for one of our favorite, and most affordable, tips.

One of the first things we think about when we look at plans for a new space, is where the TV will be placed. Our goal is to find a space that looks nice, but also allows the clients the best experience when watching the TV. Depending on the room, the priorities may vary, and we work with our clients to find meet their needs.

When budgets are limited, but the client wants to minimize the appearance of the TV a simple trick is to mount the TV on a dark wall. Yep, we said it was simple. Depending on the style of the home, this may be as simple as painting a wall black. In modern homes, dark accent walls are trending. In other spaces this may be choosing a dark tile, dark stone, or even dark wood behind the TV.

The biggest upside to hiding your TV by changing the wall color, is that it gives you a chance to make a huge update to your space while simultaneously helping your TV disappear. If a black wall doesn’t work for you, BRAVAS is happy to help you find a TV lift, a Samsung Frame TV, or a Leon Media Décor Art lift to add that finishing touch to your space.
