Digital Interiors Hosts a Night Out with the Atlanta Braves

 Digital Interiors had a blast last month with Atlanta’s top luxury architects and home builders at the brand new SunTrust Park. Our friends at Architectural Visions and Genesis Elevators cohosted the event as we took in the Braves’ game in the brand new private Hank Aaron deck.  The event included a buffet, bar and raffle prizes! It was a great opportunity to let professionals know about our home automation systems and how they can be beneficial to them. 

To help them understand how they could use our integrated technology in their projects, we promoted our ongoing CEU courses. This month we gave three additional courses to the Home Builders Association of Atlanta. George Ide, who is a registered CEDIA outreach instructor, led classes on Understanding Today’s Home Technology and Infrastructure Options, Technology for Outdoor Spaces, and Lighting Control Illuminated. Below we highlight some of the topics related to these courses: 

 Home Technology and Infrastructure Options

With so much smart technology available to today, it’s sometimes hard to keep track.  This course instills you with the expansive knowledge of every modern home technology offered and how it can all benefit your clients.  You’ll be set up with an endorsed timeline for your building process and how to get involved early on in the design.  Participants will learn about wired vs. wireless systems, savings, and energy efficient options, and the safety protocols put in place for such projects.  Become an expert on several residential systems, such as Savant and Control4.  Join a course that ensures you’ll have the basics down, and the advanced knowledge at hand.

Technology for Outdoor Spaces

Technology solutions shouldn’t be limited to inside the house walls.  Now, smart home equipment is everywhere.  There are numerous options for outdoor tech, including controlled lighting, audio-video, security and surveillance systems, and much more.  But the great outdoors presents some unique challenges.  This course prepares you for all of them, including the possibility of tumultuous weather affecting the spaces and ongoing projects.  Control and manage everything with water and weatherproof tablets, remotes and smart devices.  Pre-planning a project with the proper tools and knowledge of the area and appropriate equipment will guarantee success.  

Lighting Control Illuminated

These days, controlled lighting is a standard in most smart homes.  This course will teach you the ins and outs of lighting control, from the types of solutions and systems to the various lamp styles available.  You’ll know every obtainable design, including LED lighting that will increase energy efficiency – a highlight for many clients.  You can clear up the misconceptions surrounding lighting control, and show the various features solutions offered to make your clients’ homes complete and to their satisfaction.
