Many design elements that are used in modern luxury homes are considered “jewelry” for the home. Onyx countertops, handmade door hardware and chandeliers are just a few examples. But when Lutron released their Palladiom line of motorized shades and lighting keypads they added a new entrant into the category. Palladiom Wireless shades use the same energy saving technology as other Lutron battery shades, meaning they can be used for windows up to 12’x12’ and a single set of D-Cell batteries will last 3-5 years. Lutron battery powered shades are also nearly silent, and still have the ability to use IHA, or Intelligent Hembar Alignment. This technology allows all of the shades in a room to move perfectly in-sync, getting rid of the ugly “snaggletooth” effect other shades often suffer from.
