The Baltimore location was originally founded in 1994 by Sean Weiner and was then known as Starr Systems Design up until 2019 when Starr Systems joined BRAVAS. Since 1994, our staff has been designing and installing electronic systems for the finest residential and commercial properties in Baltimore, Annapolis and throughout the country. Our experienced team of designers, engineers, and technicians can help you build and maintain the ideal lighting control systems, electrical services, audio/video, entertainment, and smart home automation systems for your home or business, and seamlessly integrate them into your environment.
Doug Hoffman
General Manager
Meet Doug Hoffman
Prior to joining BRAVAS, Doug served as the Chief Operating Officer of Clearwater Construction Group, an innovative and award-winning construction company based in North Carolina.
Before joining Clearwater, Doug served a number of growth and portfolio companies in a variety of industries. He was the Vice President of Corporate Services at ABT Power Management where he oversaw all corporate functions of the business, as well as the integration of strategic mergers and acquisitions. He also led teams in the recreational real estate development industry building private communities and amenities.
Doug built his early career serving for 20 years in the United States Marine Corp, leading teams in operations and quality assurance. He obtained his business degree from Park University.
Sean Weiner

Meet Sean Weiner
Sean graduated from the University of Delaware in 1990 with a degree in Economics, spent two years as an installation technician at a Baltimore area audio/video and lighting systems contractor, another two years in sales with a Washington DC area custom retailer, and ultimately founded Starr Systems Design – now BRAVAS Baltimore, in the summer of 1994. Sean is a certified CEDIA outreach instructor, and has written and participated in educational and promotional articles for numerous industry magazines, the National Homebuilders Association, and several local publications.
Patty Sharkey
Business Development
Meet Patty Sharkey
Patty is a life time resident of Maryland and is a graduate of the University of Maryland. She has worked in the residential and commercial alarm, surveillance, and network industries for the last 25 years. Patty is a CEDIA Certified Outreach Instructor, Maryland Building Industry Council Member, a member of MBIA Women’s Council, as well as the AIA Potomac Valley Chapter.
Shawn Evans

Meet Shawn Evans
Shawn started his career here at BRAVAS as a Lead A/V Technician and then transitioned into our Service department, where he now manages its daily operation and support teams for our clients. His background in both Audio/Video and electric lends well to his position within BRAVAS.
Tracy Gebhard

Meet Tracy Gebhard
A veteran in the electrical business, Tracy adds 35 years of valuable electric experience to our team. In his spare time, Tracy enjoys competitive billiards and camping.
