TIGER 21: Graduate School of Wealth Preservation

Peer-to-Peer Learning Community Has More than 440 Members Globally

The Investment Group for Enhanced Results in the 21st Century, also known as TIGER 21, is the premier peer-to-peer learning network for high-net-worth individuals. But this isn’t a Goldman Sachs Club. TIGER 21 has over 440 members, who are accomplished wealth creators in nearly every industry from around the globe, and who collectively manage more than $40 billion in personal assets. Founded in 1999 by an entrepreneur seeking objective advice regarding the management of his wealth, TIGER 21 members join this exclusive group to become more disciplined investors, enhance their wealth and achieve other personal goals beyond investing.

The TIGER 21 community is a diverse group in terms of age, prior business experience, and net worth. Members include entrepreneurs who have created, built and sold their own businesses, Wall Street executives, CEOs of major companies, and real estate investors. All have been successful in their chosen fields and have a minimum of $10 million in assets to invest.

This unique group of life-long learners is dedicated to unlocking the transformative value of their wealth and joined TIGER 21 because they understand that success in the boardroom does not always translate into the successful management of assets or personal happiness. Because each member is facing similar circumstances, the organization is designed so that members help one another. If you want the best advice, ask people that have gone through the same situation. TIGER 21 has created a safe place where the best minds and resources are at the service of the members.

The mission of TIGER 21 is to help its members

  • improve their investment acumen through critique and coaching,
  • tackle common issues of wealth preservation,
  • manage family-related challenges,
  • and understand estate planning options, philanthropic endeavors and legacy impact.

TIGER 21 achieves these goals by hosting confidential group meetings that provide a unique forum for open discussion and relationship building among members. TIGER 21 is not for the faint-of-heart. Each member must partake in a ‘Portfolio Defense’ where they present and defend their asset portfolio in front of other members. The feedback is often brutal, but most members are grateful for the candid advice.

In addition, TIGER 21 offers its members opportunities to participate in social events like Art Basel in Miami and private film screenings. Members travel with their group to extraordinary locations like Necker Island and the top of a glacier in Canada. TIGER 21 also hosts roundtable discussions centered on topics such as early stage and angel investing, philanthropy and real estate. Through its Headliner Series, TIGER 21 attracts some of the best and brightest leaders as guest speakers. Past presenters include George Soros, legendary financier, philanthropist and philosopher; Carl Icahn, corporate raider turned shareholder activist; George Mitchell, former United States Senate Majority Leader; Joi Ito, Director of the MIT Media Lab; Alan Dershowitz, Professor of Law at Harvard Law School; and Steve Forbes, President & CEO of Forbes, Inc.

The organization now has groups in 21 cities in the United States, Canada and Great Britain.
